This was a fun day. From what I understand, about every month Warren Buffett has a group of college business school students come here to Omaha for a day. These students are from all over the world. They tour Berkshire Hathaway, Nebraska Furniture Mart, Borsheim’s, have a Q & A group discussion with Mr. Buffett and go out for lunch with him. My assignment was to photograph the lunch. I’ve never met Mr. Buffett before but have heard all the Omaha stories about him. I found him amazing! He was friendly, funny, clown like, grandpa like, witty and very open to anyone. The students and Mr. Buffett had a great time.
We had the lunch at Piccolo Pete’s family restaurant. An old family owned, south side, midwest steak house. Not at all where you would think the world’s richest man would hang out at. But I must say Piccolo Pete’s has great food and friendly people to help you. After the lunch Mr. Buffett gets up and walks out into the parking lot to take photos with the students. He was I bet there taking photos for 1 or 2 hours with over 100 people in 50 degree spring weather. Not leaving until EVERYONE had gotten many photos with him. He was striking every pose you can imagine. A real ham in front of the camera. I think Mr. Buffett enjoys being with all the young college students as much as they did with him. Here are some of the photos. They are hilarious!

Mr. Buffett bought everyone a root beer float. One of his favorites!
Mmmm…
